Our Story

Not another gear warehouse.

Three conglomerates own most of the big-name motorcycle gear stores in America. MotoStash is none of them. We're independent, rider-run, and impossible to buy out.

Born from a frustration every rider knows.

You go looking for a decent jacket. You end up on one of three sites — RevZilla, Cycle Gear, J&P Cycles — only to find out they're all owned by the same parent company. Same inventory. Same algorithms. Different logo, same experience.

MotoStash was built to be the alternative. Not a warehouse with 160,000 SKUs and zero curation. Not a brand that spends more on SEO than on understanding what riders actually need. Just the stuff that matters — picked by people who actually ride.

We started with a simple rule: if we wouldn't trust it on the road ourselves, it doesn't make the cut. That rule hasn't changed.

Kansas City roots.
Rider-first always.

We're based in Kansas City — heartland of America, home of people who treat their bikes like a second language. Long straight roads, brutal winters, summers that remind you why you ride. It shapes how we curate.

We don't carry everything. We carry the best of what we've actually tested, ridden with, and would stake our own skin on. 27 products right now. Every single one earned its place.

When you buy from MotoStash, you're buying from people who care which gloves hold up in a Kansas City November. Not an algorithm optimized for conversion rates.

What we stand for.

🏍️

Bold Design

Gear should look as good as it protects. We skip the safety-orange-and-reflective-yellow aesthetic that treats riders like construction workers and source products that earn looks at the stoplight.

🎯

Curated Quality

We'd rather have 27 products we believe in than 2,700 we're indifferent to. Every item in the stash passed our standard: would we trust it at 70mph? If the answer is no, it doesn't ship.

🤝

Rider Community

The motorcycle community runs on shared knowledge — first ride tips, route advice, the gear that saved someone's knee. MotoStash is part of that ecosystem. Not a transaction machine above it.

Why "Later Nerds"?

It's what you say when you twist the throttle and leave the debate behind. The argument about which brand is best, which tire compound suits the track, which jacket is worth the price — all valid questions, but some answers you only get on the road.

It's also what we say to the big-box mentality. To the corporate gear machine that thinks riders are just consumers waiting to be optimized. To 500-page catalogs that bury the good stuff in noise.

Later Nerds is irreverence with intent. We take the gear seriously. We don't take ourselves seriously. Those aren't contradictions.
